Bu ders, gebelik, doğum ve lohusalık sürecinde gebe ve ailesinin ebeveynliğe hazırlığı kapsamında, gebeliğin oluşumu, gebelikte olağan yakınmalar ve başa çıkma yöntemleri, gebelik egzersizleri ve doğuma hazırlık, bebek bakımı/beslenmesi, loğusalık bakımı ve doğurganlığın düzenlenmesi yöntemleri ve diğer ilgili konularda ebeveynlerin hazırlanmasına yönelik bilgi ve uygulamaları içerir.
Objectives of the Course
To gain knowledge and skills for the application and evaluation of the training module developed by using the theoretical knowledge related to the preparation of the pregnant woman and her family for parenthood during pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium.

1 Course introduction, parent identification, intercultural parenting
2 Family structure and characteristics, spousal/partner relationship, communication and parenting
3 Preparation to parenting; promoting preconceptional health, deciding to become a parent, preparing to become a parent before pregnancy; physical, psychosocial and economic preparedness
4 Neurophysiological, psychosocial and cultural dimensions of pregnancy and care in mothers and fathers (sociocultural factors and pregnancy experience, family's psychosocial response to pregnancy and adjustment, such as social support.)
5 Neurophysiological and psychosocial changes and care in the birth and postpartum period, new adaptation to life
6 Mother-infant attachment and care in the prenatal, innatal and postnatal period
7 Importance of breast milk and breastfeeding
