Graduation Requirements

Graduation requirements have been determined by the program in accordance with the criteria specified in the EUÇEP qualifications and SABAK program-specific criteria. In order to graduate from the program, a total of 240 ECTS courses must be taken by successfully completing the theoretical and practical courses in the Midwifery Undergraduate Program. Additionally, within the scope of applied courses;

  • Providing counseling to the pregnant woman, including at least 100 prenatal examinations,
  • Pregnancy monitoring and care of at least 40 pregnant women,
  • Having at least 40 births under his/her own responsibility,
  • At least 10 family planning consultations,
  • Active participation in at least 2 breech births (if breech birth is not possible, simulation can be performed),
  • At least 4 episiotomy applications and stitches (If necessary, this can be done in the form of simulation),
  • Monitoring and caring for at least 100 women in the postpartum period (including examination),
  • Monitoring and caring for at least 40 women at risk during pregnancy, birth or postpartum period,
  • Monitoring and caring for at least 100 postpartum mothers (including examination),
  • Observe and care for at least 100 healthy newborn babies and at least 40 newborn babies requiring special care, including premature, postmature, low birth weight or sick babies,
  • Caring for at least 40 women with gynecological and obstetric pathologies,
  • It must be included in at least 10 medical and surgical treatments.

Students are required to complete the "Graduation Criteria Book" in order to evaluate their completion of graduation criteria and acquisition of discipline-specific skills.
