Course Content
Research use in midwifery, barriers to research use; evidence, levels of evidence; evidence-based midwifery and evidence-based practice process and its importance; evidence-based practices in the preconceptional period; evidence-based practices during pregnancy; evidence-based practices in stage 1 of labor; evidence-based practices in stage 2 of labor; evidence-based practices in stage 3 of labor; evidence-based midwifery practice models; evidence-based practice guidelines; randomized controlled trials; systematic reviews; Includes cochrane center and user guide.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to provide evidence-based care for women and newborns in preconception, pregnancy, delivery and postpartum periods by adopting the basic definitions, evidence sources, evidence levels and the importance of evidence-based approach in midwifery practices, especially in evidence-based midwifery practices.
