Course Content
This course examines the concepts of neglect and abuse from the perspective of children’s rights, focusing on the current situation, causes, and risk factors both globally and in Turkey. The course explores the identification, dynamics, and preventive intervention methods for cases of physical, emotional, sexual, and economic abuse, as well as neglect.
Objectives of the Course
To build competence in the processes of identifying, reporting, and documenting cases of neglect and abuse from a children’s rights perspective; and to develop the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to play a role in the rehabilitation process through interdisciplinary collaboration by establishing effective communication with victimized children and their families.
