Course Content
Fundamentals of weapon technology, basic principles of physics, types of firearms and shooting principles, ammunition structure and types, barrel structure and ballistics, firing mechanisms and trigger systems, magazine, feeding and extraction mechanisms, recoil and gas systems, sighting systems, locking and safety mechanisms, firearm maintenance and safe handling, aiming techniques, and principles of shooting safety.
Objectives of the Course
Fundamentals of Weapon Systems is a course designed to introduce students to the basic operating principles, types, mechanisms, and ammunition varieties of firearms. It enables students to understand the historical development of weapon technology, safe firearm handling rules, and the fundamental principles of shooting. In addition, the course provides knowledge of ballistics, sighting systems, and safe shooting techniques, aiming to enhance students'theoretical and technical knowledge and skills.
