Course Content
Definition of Islamic philosophy; Religious, cultural, political etc. that led to the birth and development of philosophy in Islam. factors; translation movements; Main problems of Islamic philosophy; Major schools/movements in the history of Islamic philosophy; analysis of important philosophers and their works; The influence of Muslim philosophers and scientists on the West; Contemporary Islamic philosophy: problems and thinkers.
Objectives of the Course
To do the philosophical analysis of Islam and to understand what it is. To demonstrate that religious concepts cannot be based on philosophical basis. To examine the foundations and motives that are based on religious beliefs in a philosophical way.
