Sociology

The Department of Sociology started accepting students in the 2016-2017 academic year. The Department of Sociology has qualified academic staff who are experienced, dynamic, emphasize science, are investigative and productive, closely follow the developments in the academic world in their field, and are opinion leaders who are listened to in many areas in the Turkish society on many issues. While teaching with students, faculty members of the Sociology Department present the discipline of sociology not only as a theoretical science, but also as a science of sociology by taking into account the reality it constructs in society. As of 2024, there will be 2 Professors, 1 Associate Professor and 3 Drs in the department. Lecturer Member and 1 Research Assistant work full time. The faculty has 1 studio and 2 laboratory for applied courses. Students of all departments can benefit from these opportunities. Although it varies from year to year, between 30-40 students are admitted to the department every year.
