Course Content
The concept of Civil Society, the relationship between Civil Society and the state, the rights and freedoms of the individual vis-à-vis the state, the concept of democracy and the relationship between civil society, civil society and human rights, the emergence, development and definition of human rights, judicial and political protection methods.
Objectives of the Course
This course will try to accomplish three objectives in the outline. It will focus primarily on the concept of civil society and the issues associated with it, especially the state. Secondly, it will draw attention to the development of civil society in the world, with examples of democratic and non-democratic society. Finally or It will address the development of civil society in Turkey in a historical approach. In the process coming from the Ottomans to the present day, the civil society will be analyzed through its actors, dynamics and values.
