Bu derste, Osmanlı Türkçesinin gramer kuralları öğretilerek, tarihî ve edebî Osmanlıca matbu ve elyazısı (rik'a vb.) metinler okutulmaktadır. Ayrıca, Osmanlı kültürü konusunda temel bilgiler verilmektedir.
