Course Content
In this course, microeconomics and introductory topics related to macroeconomics are examined at the basic level. The course covers the following topics: Basic concepts, supply and demand model, demand curve and consumer behavior, supply curve and firm behavior, competition, monopoly, government intervention, money and banking, monetary policies, economic growth and fluctuations, unemployment, inflation and economic determinants of growth.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course is to enable students to have basic knowledge of general economic terms and explanations, to develop their ability to better understand and interpret economic terms they encounter in their daily life and profession, and to make more rational decisions in their daily life relationships. In addition, it is to give basic information about Macroeconomics and Microeconomics.
