Social Service

The Department of Social Work, located in the central campus of the university, was established on 20.06.2012 within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of KTO Karatay University. The department was incorporated into the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences in 2015. In March 2023, as a result of the merger of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, this time the department was taken under the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences. The Department of Social Work started its education and training activities with 43 students from the additional quota in the 2012-2013 academic year and gave its first graduates in the Spring Semester of the 2015-2016 academic year. In addition to the undergraduate program within the department, it also conducts the 'Social Work Master's Program with Thesis' affiliated to the Department of Social Work, which was opened on April 15, 2023. This program started its education and training activities with 15 students in the fall semester of the 2023-2024 academic year.
