Course Content
In this course, the concepts of multiculturalism, race, ethnicity, identity and difference are clarified. Cultural competence and the basic elements of cultural competence are also discussed. The theoretical foundations of multicultural social work, examples of social work practice with different cultures, local perspectives in social work, and discussions of cultural turns in social sciences are discussed in detail.
Objectives of the Course
To provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform social work practice in a culturally diverse environment.
