Course Content
This course primarily focuses on digitalisation, digital literacy and competence, social media knowledge, virtual worlds, blogs and online counseling. Discussing the possible reflections of these developments on social work practices is the main focus of the course. In the course, it is expected that the innovations brought by the digital structure within the framework of ethical principles and responsibilities in social work practices will be discussed with examples from the international literature. In addition, the processes related to the identification of needs, problems and factors in the emerging technological culture and the shaping of micro, mezzo and macro social work practices are discussed.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to discuss the reflections of the digitalization phenomenon on social work and to introduce digital social work practices to students.
