Course Content
In this course, psycho-social consequences of the disease, organization of health services in Turkey, patient rights; definition of medical social work; historical development of medical social work; social work practices for individuals, families, groups and service providers in various and different levels of health care settings, medical social work units and functioning in hospitals, sample cases, medical social work legislation.
Objectives of the Course
It is to introduce the medical social work field to social work students by considering the current developments in the field of medical social work and to prepare the students to work in the field of medical social work by teaching the roles and functions of the medical social worker.
