Course Content
This course aims to introduce the definition, scope and basic features of forensic social work to the students. In the scope of this course, there are topics such as the establishment and functioning characteristics of the Turkish justice system, the characteristics of the justice systems related to criminal children and adults in Turkey; preventive and rehabilitative social work intervention and practices with criminals of all ages and genders.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course is to help students gain knowledge about social work interventions and practices for criminals (adults or children) in settings such as juvenile courts, detention centres, prisons, and correctional facilities.
