Course Content
Overview of old age and old age; theories of aging; individual and social life in old age. Psycho-social problems faced by the elderly, their needs and expectations. Service models and social work practices for the elderly (working with the elderly, working with the elderly's family and relatives). Examination of elderly care support in Turkey and in the world.
Objectives of the Course
To analyze the socio-economic problems that may arise with aging in the process of demographic change, and to develop solution and intervention strategies with social policy and social work methods.
