Course Content
Definition of youth; characteristics of the youth period; needs and problems of young people and their families; ethical principles in working with young people, youth policies in Turkey; social service practices fulfilled on the basis of eco-system with young people and their families; case management in service delivery to young people.
Objectives of the Course
Taking into account the current developments in the field of social work with young people, to introduce the field of youth and social work to social work students, to analyze youth policies and the services offered to young people, to prepare students to work in the field of social work with young people by teaching students the role and functions of social workers in this field.
