Course Content
Family as a system, functional dysfunctional characteristics of the family system, family life cycle, communication, roles and norms in the family, child protection, contemporary understanding of childhood, child rights, child welfare and child well-being, child protection system and principles, evaluation of the child and family, ethical principles in the field of child welfare, children at risk; current issues / problems in child welfare, child neglect and abuse, social work practices with families and children, services for children and families.
Objectives of the Course
To discuss the field of family and child welfare together with its theoretical and practical fields, to deal with the dynamics of the family system (communication, interaction, roles, etc.); To examine childhood discussions and understanding, child protection, well-being, services for children and families, with its political, social, cultural and economic background.
