Course Content
Part I: Basic concepts of human rights, Enlightenment thought, historical and philosophical foundations of human rights, Classification of human rights, first, second, third and fourth generation human rights, Human rights law and its basic principles. II. Section: Introduction of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, other documents derived from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the issue of protection of human rights, national and international human rights defense mechanisms, III. Chapter: Rights-based social work approach, human rights social work relationship, the role of social work in the protection of human rights
Objectives of the Course
To make social students understand the meaning and importance of human rights in terms of social work profession, to make them sensitive about human rights and to become human rights defenders.
