Course Content
In this course, based on general systems theory and ecological perspective, an analysis of human behavior and the social environment is made, and the approach of the individual in his environment is clarified. Then, within the framework of the interaction of the social systems in which the individual lives, such as families, groups, organizations, institutions, communities and societies, development theories that cover the development of human beings from biopsychosocial aspects in their life cycle are passed. Based on these theories, the biopsychosocial development of human in infancy, childhood and adolescence is examined. Problems and needs, risk factors and protective factors during these developmental periods are associated with social work intervention.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the developmental stages and reflections of human behavior during infancy, childhood and adolescence, and to integrate the factors affecting behavior with social work practices.
