Course Content
Concepts of social science and sociology; sociological thinking; the founders of sociology; contemporary thinkers who contributed to the development of sociology; social stratification, class structure and social inequalities; forms of social control; social change, development and disintegration, social role and status; modern society - post-modern society features, economy and business life under the influence of current trends and developments, basic social institutions such as family and marriage, kinship, education, by evaluating them in a broader whole.
Objectives of the Course
To enable students to make sense of the social environment they live in on the basis of social differences and to provide students with the sociological perspective that a social worker should have on issues such as components of social structure and social change.
