Course Content
In this course, together with the students, both international and national social work practices (for example, the effectiveness of globalization and neoliberal policies, the shrinking of the social state, post-modernist theories surrounding the body of knowledge of social work, drifting in social work education in Turkey and open education, green social work, social transfer of services to local governments, social work interventions and the use of technology in education) will be discussed.
Objectives of the Course
To inform social work graduate students about the current debates in the social work profession, education and social work with its national and international dimensions, and to increase the level of awareness of the students about the stage that social work has come and gone as a profession and science by bringing these discussions to the classroom environment.
