Those who have a bachelor's degree in social work from Turkish universities or foreign universities whose equivalence is accepted can apply to this program. Those who have a bachelor's degree in fields other than social work (e.g. psychology, sociology, psychological counseling and guidance, child development, public administration, labor economics, etc.) can also apply to the program. Scientific preparation program is applied to candidates whose undergraduate degree is other than social work when deemed necessary. Which courses will be given to the candidates within the scope of the scientific preparation program is determined by the Department of Social Work. Students who are not successful in the scientific preparation program cannot enroll in the main program.

Students who apply in accordance with the criteria sought within the application period announced for each semester are entitled to take the scientific exam (interview) to be held on the dates decided by the Institute and announced in advance. The list of candidates whose applications are accepted is announced by the Institute on the bulletin board and on the Institute's web page.

ALES score, undergraduate grade point average and interview results are evaluated in student admission to the program. For ALES, it is required to have an Equal Weight (EA) score of 55. In order to determine the success of the candidate, the General Success Score (GBP) is calculated and the candidates are ranked according to this score. The evaluation of the application is calculated over 100 full points. For the total score; 50% of the ALES score, 30% of the interview and 20% of the graduation score are calculated. Out of 100 full points, the candidates are ranked starting from the highest score. The success grade of students who do not take the interview is not calculated.

The rules stipulated by KTO Karatay University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations and KTO Karatay University Institute of Social Sciences are also valid for the Master's Program with Thesis in Social Work.
