Course Content
Historical, political, legal and philosophical foundations of human rights and freedoms, human rights law and its basic principles, efforts in the United Nations (UN) and Europe on human rights, UN declarations and European Conventions on human rights, public freedoms, protection of human rights problem, national and international human rights defense mechanisms, the way human rights are regulated in domestic law, the mechanisms established for their protection and the problems in their limitation, the historical development of human rights and public freedoms in Turkey.
Objectives of the Course
To ensure that students comprehend the historical, political, legal and philosophical foundations of human rights and freedoms, recognize public freedoms with their diversity, and reach a level where they can discuss the relationship between each other.
