Course Content
Theories and fundamental concepts of migration in the era of global mobility; legal status and legislation regarding asylum seekers, refugees, and migrants, functions of social work in the processes of education, health, and employment in the lives of asylum seekers and migrants, social work interventions for asylum seeker and migrant families.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is for students to acquire knowledge about national and international legislation related to migration; to develop interventions for problems based on the status experienced by migrants and to be able to utilize welfare institutions serving migrants in this regard; and to be able to follow and analyze developments regarding prominent social issues in the field of migration.
