Course Content
History of occupational health and safety legislation; constitutional and statutory regulations on occupational safety; Labor Law, Code of Obligations, Public Health Law; Occupational Health and Safety Law; related regulations; Health and Safety Committees; responsibilities of employers and representatives; safety measures for buildings, materials, machinery, and equipment; occupational safety organization; principal-subcontractor relations; sample Supreme Court decisions.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to teach students occupational health and safety legislation and to provide understanding of safety responsibilities and practices within the framework of labor law.
