Course Content
Fire, earthquake, flood, and other natural disasters; industrial accidents and their causes; emergency management; action plans for disasters and industrial accidents; principles of search and rescue; requesting help; selection, use, and preparation of tools, equipment, and protective gear; first aid; use of map, compass, and radio; safety harness and rope stretcher construction; pulley systems; evacuation methods; rescue techniques; search organization and methods.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to teach students the types of natural and industrial disasters, emergency management processes, and intervention planning, and to provide knowledge and skills in search, rescue, and evacuation techniques.
