Course Content
Types and classification of occupational diseases; diseases caused by chemical, physical, and biological agents; occupational infections; occupational lung, skin, musculoskeletal, and cancer diseases; diseases related to psychosocial factors; risk assessment and health surveillance; responsibilities of occupational health professionals; evaluation of work accidents and occupational diseases; investigation of hazardous events and preparation of preventive action plans; preparation of annual work plans.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to introduce students to the types and causes of occupational diseases, teach health surveillance processes, emphasize the responsibilities of occupational health professionals, and provide skills to collaborate with workplace physicians in preventing occupational diseases.
