Course Content
The student is taught traditional printmaking techniques in application workshops and all kinds of research and projected applications are made. The course includes experimental designs suitable for basic printing techniques, preparing molds suitable for the type, preparing printing papers, solutions and inks, printing applications, producing works for competitions, artist examination, finalizing and numbering the prints.
Objectives of the Course
It aims to enable students to learn traditional printing techniques and methods, which form the basis of current original printing, to make original designs and applied studies, and to understand and comprehend the processes. Due to the nature of the original printing course, it is applied in the workshop with the active participation of the students. In addition to technical and application studies, examples containing the historical process of Original Print Painting are also examined, and it is aimed that students increase their knowledge on this subject.

Weekly Detailed Course Contents
Week Topics
1 Giving information about the original printing systems, informing the students about the historical development of the meaning of the original print painting and different techniques, reviewing related research articles, research, observation, case studies and applications.
2 Explanation of the printing technique and the possibilities of the technique and the determination of the necessary materials Pit printing materials and tools and their use.
3 Information about printmaking paints, papers, rollers and plates. Preparation of the supplied material for printing and selection of appropriate compositions by making sketch studies. Examination of the processes of preparing zinc molds with intaglio printing method.
4 Application of the sketches selected in accordance with the technique chosen by the student to the plates.Zinc mold preparation, asphalting and acid applications trials.
5 Zinc engraving, preliminary trial printing studies and color application trials.
6 Criticizing the works and providing guidance to overcome the problems. Completion of applications.
7 Finishing the visa works, making them ready and delivering them, preparing their passepartout.
8 Informing about the place of the original print today, Artist introductions: Albert Dürer. Determining Exlibris subjects with Intaglio Printing and creating a composition.
9 Experimenting and printing ex-libris with dry scraping and acidic methods.
10 Completion of printing applications of exlibris. Based on mixed techniques, sample video, visual and catalog reviews, research and preparations for experimental original printing works.
11 Preparation of found materials, placement, creating backgrounds, trials, application studies, troubleshooting,
12 Discussions on the sketches of the prints, criticisms, paying attention to the steps of the printing process, realization of the stages with guidance in an appropriate way
