Graphic Design

KTO Karatay University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Graphic Design Department started its undergraduate education in 2013-2014 with the aim of raising conscious and professional graphic designers who can solve visual design problems, use the equipment required by the age competently, follow social and cultural differences. Since its establishment, the Department of Graphic Design has received 7 students in 2017, 29 students in 2018, and 26 students in 2019. Based on the decision taken at the Higher Education Executive Board meeting dated 11.03.2020, the name of the program was changed to Graphic Design as of the 2020-2021 academic year. The Graphic Design Department brought a total of 111 students into their professional life, 32 in 2020 and 17 in 2021. Horizontal, vertical transfer and double major students are also included in this number. In 2017, the department established the Graphic Design Master for those who want to specialize in graphic design. The Graphic Design department continues its continuous improvement studies, taking into account the requirements of the era and the developments in the sector.

The Graphic Design Department is structured to reveal the cultural, sociological, economic and technological dimensions of design. The bridge, which is tried to be established between theoretical and practical courses in the education program, is tried to be built over sectoral life with today's important approaches such as partnership, integration and cooperation.
