Course Content
Öğrenciler ders kapsamında en az iki farklı proje ile yazı karakteri tasarımı sürecini deneyimlerler. Yazı karakterlerini tasarlarken verilen konuya uygun eskizler üretip bu eskizleri grid sistemi ile düzenli bir yazı karakteri üretirler. Adobe Illustrator ve Fontlab programları yardımı ile üretilen yazı karakterleri bilgisayar ortamlarında kullanılabilir hale getirilirler. Tasarımların zamanında bitirilmesi ve yaratıcı bir şekilde sunulabilmesi de ders içeriklerindendir.
Objectives of the Course
The primary aim of the course is to learn the path followed while creating a typeface by experiencing the process from the sketching stage to the drawing in the computer environment and from there until it becomes a working typeface. It is also one of the aims of the course to be able to follow today's contemporary typeface designers and the characters they design.
