Course Content
Sanat ve tasarımın özet tarihi, grafik sanatların tanımı ve grafik sanatlar tarihine giriş, modernizmi hazırlayan sanat hareketleri, 20.yy başında Avrupa'da sanat ve tasarımı yönlendiren modern hareketleri, Amerika'da modern sanat hareketlerinin gelişimi, kurumsal kimlik ve görsel sistemler, Türkiye'de grafik tasarım tarihi gibi konularını içermektedir
Objectives of the Course
In this course, the history of graphic design, which develops with social changes, is discussed in the process from the early ages to the present day. From the Industrial Revolution to the Bauhaus School, the development of graphic design is examined within the framework of social, political, economic and cultural dynamics. Visual documents related to leading graphic design products are discussed and design readings are made. Documentary films about art and design contribute to the students to get to know the period more closely and vividly. It is aimed to teach the emergence and development of graphic design and the movements and trends affecting graphic design.
