Course Content
It includes the acquisition and learning of visual sensitivity and two- and three-dimensional design skills by understanding the design principles, the learning of visual expression skills by using design elements efficiently, and the understanding of the subjects discussed in the light of design principles and elements, while maintaining familiarity with the materials and techniques used in design education.
Objectives of the Course
To teach the basic elements and principles of plastic arts based on observation, application and parts, visual thinking logic, selective attention and perceived perception, knowledge, power and abstraction; We work to enable them to develop their original language of expression in a free environment and to provide them with the necessary experience and confidence based primarily on imagination and creativity.

Weekly Detailed Course Contents
Week Topics
1 Repetition of design principles and elements and course content, evaluation of the first semester and discussion of the gains by giving a mutual word with the students. Introducing the color element and creating a list of materials. Introduction of gouache paint technique, general information about color is given.
2 Color circle drawing, gouache painting technique application forms and experiments.Color theory (Newton)
3 Main-intermediate-hot cold colors, Examination and application of examples.Examination of impressionist artists; İbrahim Çallı, Hikmet Onat, Namık İsmail
4 Valor applications in color (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple) Dividing 6 color sheets into nines.Creating application valors by adding white into color and black into color.
5 Neutral colors, Black-White, Green-Red, Orange-Blue, Orange-Yellow, Purple-Yellow Mixing colors, obtaining mud browns by mixing black and white, creating a four-bar valor sheet,
6 Color applications (creating warm-cold composition sketches)
7 Hot-cold rhythm, cold rhythm and hot rhythm exercises, composition.
8 Air (Color) Perspective reviews and applications, volume color applications. Artist reviews.
9 Collage technique examination and trials. Deformation portrait studies with collage. Abstract collage placements on white background with abstract gray-black cartons, Free manipulation studies with collage technique, Preparation of photo montage work; Kurt Schwitters, Picasso, Henri Matisse.
10 Color object studies, Color detailing, creating zoom sketches
11 Zooming in on the received details, creating a six-page layout, graphic expression, stylization, abstraction.
12 Completion of the layout and creation of clean colored works. Examining geometric abstract artists: Piet Mondrian, Kazimir Malevich, Adnan Çoker
13 Examining metamorphosis studies and producing new works by making use of collage, bringing its continuation, completing the composition with imagination.Mc Esher
