Course Content
At the end of the Consumption Culture course, students gain a systematic understanding of the consumer society and analyze the mutual role of economics, culture and technology in relation to consumption and tastes and lifestyles.
Objectives of the Course
To understand the concepts of consumption culture and consumer society and to bring a critical point of view. To be able to recognize the concepts of symbolic consumption, hedonism, utilitarianism, materialism, voluntary life and quality of life. To gain knowledge and skills to interpret researches related to consumer culture
