Graphic Design

KTO Karatay University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Graphic Design Department started undergraduate education in 2013-2014 in order to train graphic designers who can solve visual design problems, use the equipment required by the age competently, follow social and cultural differences, conscious and specialized in their professional field. Since its establishment, the Graphic Design department has admitted 7 students in 2017, 29 students in 2018, and 26 students in 2019. Based on the decision taken at the Higher Education Executive Board meeting dated 11.03.2020, the name of the programme was changed to Graphic Design as of the 2020-2021 academic year. The Department of Graphic Design has brought a total of 111 students, 32 in 2020 and 17 in 2021, to professional life. This number includes horizontal, vertical transfer and double major students. In 2017, the department established the Graphic Design Master's Degree for those who want to specialize in graphic design. The Department of Graphic Design continues its continuous improvement efforts by taking into account the requirements of the age and developments in the sector.

The Department of Graphic Design is structured to reveal the cultural, sociological, economic and technological dimensions of design. In the education programme, the bridge between theoretical and practical courses is tried to be built through today's important approaches such as partnership, integration and cooperation and sectoral life.
