Course Content
This course starts gently with an overview of many types of robots. Afterward, sensing and perception are presented to understand how the robot can extract information from the environment. Then, the details of each robot type are presented each week. starting from the Mobile robot, then Industrial robot, aerial robots, intelligent vehicles, wearable robot, underwater robot, and final the most interesting and high technological robot which is a humanoid robot. Besides, the course has a simple practical project to allow the students to understand the design and implementation of the robot.
Objectives of the Course
This course aims to give a brief description of different types of robots and their applications worldwide. The course suits students from different departments because it gives only a general overview of the robots including Mobile Robots, Industrial robots, Aerial Robots, Wearable Robots, Underwater Robots, Intelligent Vehicles, and Humanoids.
