Course Content

Objectives of the Course
To learn typefacedesign process and generate a typeface design on computer. On this purpose to learn Typeface Designer and Foundries.

1 Find a sample modular font design and bring it to the next lesson. How to create and market a font through Font Designers and Foundries. Explanation with examples through character designs. What is modular font design? Explanation with examples.
2 Modular font design. Giving students a discussion and application project based on the fonts they brought.
3 Modular font design Critique through sketches or images. ​
4 Modular font design Critique through sketches or images. ​
5 Transferring the sketches or images selected in modular font design to the computer or realizing them in 3D.
6 Modular font design Finalization of the selected work. Work Delivery and critical.
7 Designing a Found Font. Discussing what a Found Font design is and how it is created, using examples, and giving an application project.
8 Designing a found font is critical through sketches or images.
9 Designing a Found Font. Transferring selected sketches or images to the computer or realizing them in 3D.
10 Project III: Organic Typeface Design Critic on sketches or visuals
11 Designing an Organic Font. Discussing what Organic Font design is and how it is created, using examples, and giving an application project.
12 Designing an Organic Font is critical through sketches or images.
