Course Content
Summary history of art, definition of graphic arts and introduction to the history of graphic arts, art movements that prepare modernism, modern movements that direct art and design in Europe at the beginning of the 20th century, development of modern art movements in America, corporate identity and visual systems, history of graphic design in Turkey.
Objectives of the Course
In this course, social change, evolving together with the history of graphic design from the early ages to the present process are discussed. From the Industrial Revolution to the Bauhaus School, social, political, economic and cultural dynamics within the framework of the development of graphic design are examined. Leading graphic design visual documents related products handled and the design is done reading. Showing documentary films about art and design, students recognize and live in the era of closer contribute.
