Measurement & Evaluation Methods

The success status of the students in the courses, the effect of midterm exams and studies, final exams and / or assignments, laboratory reports, short-term exams and similar applications on the success grade is determined by the relevant faculty member. Students are given one of the following grades for each course they take.

b) Other letter grades are as follows:
FG : Did not take the exam.
FX : Absent.
S : Satisfactory.
U : Unsatisfactory.
P : Ongoing.
M : Exempt.
S grade is given for success in courses that do not require letter grades.
P grade is given for the successful continuation of thesis studies.
U grade is given for failing in courses and thesis studies that do not require letter grades.
S, P and U grades are not included in grade point average calculations.
In order for the student to graduate from the master's program, the overall weighted grade point average must be at least 2.50; in order to graduate from the doctoral program, it must be 3.00.
The passing grade is B- in master's programs and B in doctoral programs. However, if the student's overall weighted grade point average is at least 2.50 in master's programs and at least 3.00 in doctoral programs, C+ in master's programs and B- in doctoral programs are conditional passing grades.
After the instructor announces the grades, he/she submits the exam paper, homework, project and similar documents to the Graduate School.
Students who fail in the final exams and students who do not take the final exam among those who have the right to take the final exam take the make-up exam at the end of the relevant semester for each course they have failed. The grade obtained in the make-up exam replaces the final exam grade.
