Course Content
The results of the literature research on health structures will be discussed in terms of the historical process, The definition of hospital will be made and the variables that are used to define the types of hospitals will be taught, Building infrastructure standards and regulations related to the subject will be investigated, Designs of special sections such as patient care units, outpatient clinic areas, emergency entrance and operating room will be discussed by sketching in the course, The design criteria taught will be discussed by the students on an existing hospital sample and they will be asked to present a report in file format and design the patient care unit of the selected hospital.
Objectives of the Course
Historical process in health structures learns in the context of visuals, Understand how the design phases in health care structures should be, Understand the regulations about health care structures, Understand what variables are used by hospital types, Have knowledge about building infrastructure standards, Based on criteria of hospital departments, they know it is happening.
