Course Content
Definition of intelligence and special ability, types of special talents, characteristics and distinctive features of gifted children, developmental characteristics of gifted children, identification of gifted children and data sources used, problems faced by gifted children, their needs, educational models, program for specially gifted children. development and application of principles, gifted children, family counseling, practices in the world and Turkey.
Objectives of the Course
In this course, students will be able to recognize the gifted child and make a diagnosis by analyzing his/her development profile; It is aimed to gain the ability to develop, implement and evaluate appropriate support programs depending on the needs of children, and to provide counseling to their families and teachers.
