Course Content
Hospitalized children's developmental properties according to their ages, their interests and needs, their state of mind, interaction between hospital employee, children and families, preparatory training to hospital, preparing children to diagnosis, treatment and operation processes, planing activities for hospitalized children, hospital schools, interactions between children who have malignant disease, their parents and hospital employee.In application process students are going to observe hospitals, are going to interview with children and their parents for one week. They are going to carry out play and educational activities with children for three weeks.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course; to introduce hospitals which are one of the work environments for early childhood education teacher candidates, gain the ability for accustoming children to the hospital environment. provide students competence to carry out educational and play activities for hospitalized children.
