Course Content
The Embryological development of the nervous system and the structural and functional properties, Normal neurological development and the evaluation, Usage areas of developmental screening tests and psychometric tests, The definition, differential diagnosis, etiology, early recognition, prevention and treatment approaches in the main groups of diseases, such as Mental retardation, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, metabolic and hereditary diseases.
Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course is to inform the students about the nervous system, developmental stages, developmental and neurological disorders (motor and mental development delays, static encephalopathies, neurometabolic and neurodegenerative diseases) and the therapie approaches of the disorders, mental health problems in children, developmental screening tests used in Turkey, psychometric evaluation, to gain qualifications abaout the use of psychometric tests in the field.
