Course Content
The course committee content covers general information about joints, joints of the cranium, joints of the columna vertebralis, thoracic and pelvic joints, upper extremity joints, and lower extremity joints. Within the scope of the committee, the anatomical structures, locations, basic characteristics, and functions of joints within the locomotor system are addressed.

The course content includes introduction to embryology, history of embryology, endometrial cycle, female and male gametogenesis, fertilization, implantation, bilaminar and trilaminar germ disc, embryonic and fetal periods, placenta, fetal membranes, multiple pregnancies, and malformations. In addition, topics such as introduction to biostatistics, descriptive statistics, probability distributions, t-tests, analysis of variance, chi-square analysis, correlation and regression analyses, non-parametric tests, and the preparation of tables and graphs are covered.

Throughout the committee, students acquire knowledge and skills regarding the history of medicine, medical ethics, evidence-based medicine, article searching and evaluation, problem-based learning scenario analyses, and first aid practices. In addition, the practical application of statistical analyses and the evaluation of anatomical joint structures through practical training are also included within the course content.
Objectives of the Course
The course committee aims to enable students to acquire fundamental knowledge and skills in the fields of joints, embryological development, biostatistics, history of medicine, ethics, and evidence-based medicine. Within this scope, students are expected to learn the anatomical structures, locations, and basic characteristics of the joints of the cranium, columna vertebralis, thorax, pelvis, upper extremity, and lower extremity.

During the committee process, students are aimed to comprehend developmental processes such as introduction to embryology, gametogenesis, fertilization, implantation, bilaminar and trilaminar germ disc, embryonic and fetal periods, placenta, fetal membranes, multiple pregnancies, and malformations. In addition, it is aimed that students learn the use of statistics in health sciences, descriptive statistics, probability distributions, t-tests, analysis of variance, chi-square analysis, correlation-regression analyses, non-parametric tests, and the preparation of tables and graphs.

The course committee also aims to provide students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in the history of medicine, medical ethics, principles of evidence-based medicine, article searching and evaluation processes, problem-based learning practices, and first aid.
