Course Content
Presentation of target culture, presentation of the alphabet, figures, greeting, saying goodbye, personal information, countries, nationality, undisclosed information requesting and apologizing.
Objectives of the Course
Simple expression, simple sentences and common words to greet and say goodbye, name and nationality to ask / give, age and country to ask / give, spelling and similar skills to develop the ability to communicate with the short term.

Weekly Detailed Course Contents
Week Topics
1 Introducing; short information about the language and culture; objectives of the course, expected action from students, presentation of the alphabet and numbers
2 Saying hello and goodbye, asking for names. For this purpose, the most appropriate material is given to the student first auditory and then written. Students are asked to do these activities in pair-work. The pairs are repeated by changing it 3 times.
3 The activity from last week is repeated with changes. Students try to read each other's writing.
4 Asking and answering for names and surnames.
5 Asking and telling numbers and age. Thanking to someone.
6 Integrating: Students are asked to say "hello, good morning, what is your name, surname, how old are you, thank you and good-bye"in a single dialogue.
7 MIDTERMS
8 Asking and learning about nationality and country: What is your nationality? Which country are you from? Country and nationality names are taught.
9 A sample dialogue is given by integrationg the information learned in the previous weeks with the information uptill the midterms. Each student is given a speech from the sections ""Hi, What's Your Name, What's Your Surname, How Are You, How Old Are You, What's Your Nationality, What's Your Hometown, Thank You, Goodbye.""
10 "I don't understand, can you repeat it, please? Certainly."" These expressions are taught in this week.
11 After questions such as name, age, nationality, ""I don't understand, can you repeat, please?"" expression is taught. "Okay, of course I can repeat."
12 The student is asked to create a dialogue by combining what was learned in the 11th week with what was learned in the 9th week.
13 Spelling. ""Could you spell your name please?"" "Sure, of course". Speaking skills are taught.
14 The dialogue in the 11th week is enriched with what was learned in the 13th week.
