| 3 | Types of written expression: Essay, criticism, anecdote and interview. Characteristics of these species and examination of sample pieces. |
| 4 | Event writings: Story. Story examples from Turkish literature |
| 5 | Event writings: Novel. Definition, subject, elements and types of novel. Novel examples from Turkish and world literature. |
| 6 | Emotional writings: Poetry. Reading examples of poems of some well-known poets in Turkish literature and gaining the pleasure of reading and listening to poetry. |
| 7 | Types of written expressions about daily life: Travel, memoirs and diary. Reading and examining sample pieces about these genres. |
