Course Content
Discussing the distinction between "Text and Discourse" and the cohesive and coherent properties of texts, introducing semantic and pragmatic meanings and introducing critical textual analysis.
Objectives of the Course
Examining the language beyond the sentence level and introducing the terminology that needs to be known for this, introducing text types and examining some of them as examples.

| 2 | The comparison of sentence, utterance and proposition. |
| 3 | Analysis of semantic concepts "sense" "reference", "referring expression", "referent", ve "equative sentence". |
| 4 | Introducing the semantic concepts of "predicators" and "arguments". |
| 5 | Diversifying the concepts of "deixis", "context", "homonymy" and "polysemy" |
| 6 | Examining Conversation as a type of discourse; taking and giving turns in sequential speech and explaining coincidence events. |
| 7 | Sequence types in sequential speech; introduction of adjacent row, side-talk and repair. |
| 8 | Examining the structure of dialogue and examining its differences and similarities with monologue. Discussion of the tools that emerge in turning monologue into dialogue-dialogue into monologue. |
