Course Content
This course covers a wide range of topics essential to commercial law, including the formation and enforcement of contracts, the sale of goods, the roles and responsibilities of agents and principals. Students will examine the legal structures and regulations governing business organizations such as partnerships and corporations and explore the legal consequences of business transactions. Key areas of study will include contract law, agency law, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and relevant case law. Through lectures, case studies and practical exercises, students will develop a solid understanding of commercial law and its applications in the business environment.
Objectives of the Course
The objective of this course on commercial law is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the legal framework governing commercial transactions and business organizations. By exploring the fundamental principles and regulations underpinning commercial activities, students will gain critical knowledge of the legal aspects of contracts, sales, agency, partnerships and corporate governance. The course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate and resolve legal issues in the commercial sector, developing their ability to think analytically and apply legal concepts to real-world business scenarios.
