Course Content
Studies on reading, writing and understanding texts in Ottoman Turkish. Structure and spelling features of Arabic words and figures in Ottoman Turkish. Syntax features of Ottoman Turkish: Persian, Arabic structured phrases and compound sentence types. Studies on transferring Classical Ottoman Turkish Texts to modern Turkish.
Objectives of the Course
To gain the ability to read, understand and translate especially Classical Ottoman Turkish texts into modern Turkish.
