Course Content
Freedom and Entente Party, Republican Idea during the National Struggle, political parties in the National Struggle, general elections during the National Struggle, general elections related to the occupied regions, Unionists and Unionists during the National Struggle period, meetings and congresses, delegation-i representation, parliament ( The issue of where the TBMM will open, the profile of the members of the TBMM, the Law of Organization, the groupings in the parliament, the 1923 general elections, the establishment of the People's Party (CHP), the Progressive Republic Party, the Free Republic Party, the single-party period general elections ( 1930-1939), the 7th Congress of the CHP and democracy, the understanding of secularism and democracy in the transition to the multi-party era, the 1950 general elections and the Menderes Era, military coups (27 May, 12 March, 12 September), post-modern coups.
Objectives of the Course
Awareness of the development of democratic tendencies in the transition from the Ottoman Empire to the Republic, together with the determination of how, based on what need and when the parliamentary system emerged in Turkish history.
